A New Perspective
Somebody had Leaf for Lunch

Adventure or routine?

Adventure or routine, which do you prefer?

Do you relish all that you’ve never experienced before? Or does familiarity suit you best?

I like, and need, a bit of both. Enough routine to keep the everyday stuff easier to handle. But also enough adventure to keep life interesting!

When adventure arrives in overabundance in our lives the result can be stress: Your car breaks down -> adventure is more than plentiful -> stress enters in.

if you’re experiencing day after day of the same routine -> boredom sets in -> stress comes knocking.

In either case, art can help.

When the adventure brings stress, view your favorite art. Maybe something like this:

If boredom sets in, explore a fresh path and discover new art, like this:

Lace Leaf

Perforated leaves like this abound this summer. Funny how nature works together…the leaf was produced and along came something hungry to create this masterpiece by giving it a lace appearance.

Somebody had Leaf for Lunch – Blue Four

I admit it. I look at a lot of leaves. Not so much when they’re still attached to trees. No, I mostly go for the ones that have fallen off. I feel like they are a gift that’s been dropped down to the ground and left for me or for you. It’s then that I get a chance to look at them up close. Examine their outline and shape. See how their veins branch out from the stem. And of course, when I pick each leaf up it’s then that I can look closely at it’s colors.

So, when I stumbled on this leaf I was shocked at the destruction it had suffered. And yet, it still had all these beautiful points. The framework remained, even though somebody had a whole lotta leaf for lunch.
